Whether you have got a new kitten, a scared rescue cat, an oldie with multiple problems or you are looking after the neighbourhood stray, my goal is to provide a feline-friendly, unrushed and personal service for all of my patients.
Consultation for unwell cats
Most health concerns such as skin problems, eye and ear concerns, lameness, wounds, urinary issues and gastrointestinal disorders (vomiting and diarrhoea) can be dealt with during a home visit. I will give your cat a thorough physical examination including weight and dental checks. Following the examination, I will discuss my recommendations with you and carry out necessary tests and treatments. If your cat requires more advanced diagnostics or hospitalisation, I can refer you to the appropriate veterinary clinic of your choice.
Preventative Healthcare is a term for everything that keeps your cat healthy and happy for as long as possible. This includes regular health checks, vaccinations, parasite control, dental care, nutrition and weight control, behavioural advice and microchipping. What your cat needs depends on a lot of factors for example age, lifestyle, number of cats in your household and medical history and is therefore individually tailored to your cat.

Palliative care involves controlling pain, maintaining mobility, and adapting the environment to keep your cat comfortable in the home. Whether your cat is suffering from a terminal illness or generally getting older, a home visit without the distractions of a busy clinic offers a unique opportunity to assess the needs of your cat and develop holistic strategies to make the remainder of their life as comfortable as possible.
Cats with ongoing medical problems such as thyroid or kidney disease will need regular check ups to ensure the appropriate type and dose of medication is given. This can be done in the comfort of their own home. All clients are encouraged to take advantage of the lower prices offered by reputable internet pharmacies and can be provided with a prescription for these products to be purchased online.
